I love that Robert Palmer ablum. Anything that combines Little Feat and Allen Touissant compositions is good. (By the way, Allen Touissant and Elvis Costellos' "The River in Reverse" is fantastic).

Rediscovered recent gems:
Dylan's Desire (Emmylou!)
Zappa's Hot Rats and Bongo Fury
Clapon/Duanne Allman "outtakes" from Layla sessions - just so damn good - great, extended jams.

Good call on Zappa. A couple of years ago I dug up my copy of "Joe's Garage" and gave it a listen; has to be one of the funniest things Frank produced. Anything with the line "Only if it were a Telefunken U47 Pansexual Rotoplooker" or "Yes, I know, your father is waiting for you in the tool shed" has got to be great. As soon as I listened to this album again I was immediately brought back to the days in the dorm room absolutely paralyzed by laughter, unable to breath. That and the incredible guitar playing by Frank, a true master who is greatly missed; if you've never heard his live version of "Whipping Post", you are missing out on something speical.

And don't forget Sheik Yerbouti. Hilarious lyrics, and Frank just rocks his ass off.

Zoot Allures is always tasty too for some Carvin guitar action.
